We are on the temperature escalator going from nearly 10 degrees below normal today to nearly 10 degrees above normal by Sunday. Sunshine is abundant through it all. And the one sure forecast: the sun will rise an hour earlier and set an hour earlier on Sunday!

Today (Thursday): Most of the area sees a frosty start today. Sunshine is plentiful but highs only reach the upper 40s to lower 50s. Fortunately, the wind is minimal. Confidence: High

Tonight: With nearly calm and clear conditions, much of the area is in for another night of frost with lows in the mid-to-upper 20s (low-to-mid 30s in town). Confidence: High

Tomorrow (Friday): The sun does a little better at warming up the area with highs mainly in the mid-to-upper 50s but a few spots could top 60. Winds are light from the south. Confidence: High

Tomorrow night: Scattered clouds should not detract from viewing Jupiter. It is at its closest to us for the year, but that bright glow still takes over 33 minutes just to reach us! Winds are calm and lows range through the 30s. Confidence: High

Sunshine still dominates on Saturday but a few more clouds should zip across the sky. Winds remain minimal. Most areas reach low-to-mid 60s affording a good opportunity for an afternoon walk. Overnight lows are mainly in the mid-to-upper 30 but lower 40s downtown. Confidence: High

Sunday’s hour earlier sunrise is mainly unimpeded by clouds and highs top out in the low-to-mid 60s. The earlier sunset is a bit jarring even if conditions are calm and clear. Lows drop to upper 30s to mid-40s. Confidence: High
